Doctor Dad™ is an interactive 4-session workshop lasting 1 – 1 1/2 hours that enhances a father’s parenting skills in caring for the health and safety of his infant or toddler. Fathers learn how to use basic medical knowledge to provide compassionate care, enabling them to handle the majority of medical situations that may arise as their children grow.
The workshop sessions include:
1) The Well Child
2) The Injured Child
3) The Sick Child
4) The Safe Child
Upon completion of this special workshop,
fathers will gain:
• Ability to respond to the immediate needs of your child
• Ability to quickly and confidently respond to a medical emergency
• Ability to know when to seek professional medical assistance for your
child
• Knowledge that you can have a positive impact on the daily life of
your child
• An appreciation of the father-child bond
• Enhanced parenting skills
The Doctor Dad™ program empowers fathers to become actively involved in their child’s healthcare, thereby enabling the child to flourish and set a course for a healthy future.
