Annual Flu Inoculation Campaign Schedule Preventing illness is a smart way to improve your lifestyle. Taking precautions can only enhance your quality of life. That is why Blair County Healthy Community Partnership, Blair Senior Services, Blair County Respiratory Disease Society and Home Nursing Agency will team up with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to provide flu shots to the older residents of Blair County.
In accordance to The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) immunization will be available to high priority individuals: Adults 65+ years; Persons aged 2-64 years with underlying chronic medical conditions; All women who will be pregnant during the influenza season; All children ages 6 23 months; Health care workers involved in direct patient care; Out of home caregivers and household contacts of children aged <6months; Residents of nursing homes and long term care facilities; Children aged 6 months 18 years on chronic aspirin therapy
